M Baum

M Baum appeared only fleetingly as a Southampton photographer. An 1851 advertisement in The Hampshire Independent newspaper promoted 'superior coloured photographic portraits', taken by M Baum at the premises of watch and clock makers T.W and G.G Barter at 15 High St. The following year the Barter brothers advertised daguerreotype portraits taken by G.G Barter. The advertisement informed the public that G.G.B had practised with a celebrated daguerreotypist, presumably M Baum.
